I really love Shadow of the Colossus. It is one of the best games that I’ve ever played. The visuals are stunning (especially for being a PS2 game) and the gameplay is top-notch. Now it’s slated to be made into a movie! It’s as good as putting the game on death-row. Why oh why does Hollywood feel the need to capitalize on everything good and in turn create a steaming pile of crap that is the equivalent of spitting in the face of every gamer out there? No video game movie that I know of has ever fared well and I highly doubt that this one will do any better. It almost brings tears to my eyes knowing that something so wonderful is going to be turned into something so terrible.

I’m a real big fan of Romero’s zombie movies but this thing is a turd. I’m sitting here watching it right now and I keep palming my forehead. I watched it when it first came out a year or two ago and thought it was great. Re-watching it though I’m finding all sorts of things that are bugging the crap out of me. The whole mansion scene towards the end of the film is total crap. When the mummy character is showing the rest of the characters where he put his family they zoom in on his bloody hand. Great foreshadowing there! But instead of leaving it at they have the cameraman character state that he saw the blood on his hand. Again they could have left it there and been OK. But instead of leaving it at either of those two points they FLASH BACK TO THE BLOODY HAND. My forehead still hurts from hitting it so hard. What in the heck was Romero thinking? I understand that not all zombie movies are that great. There are tons of things done in them just to make them entertaining but boy was I glad when the cameraman character died. I couldn’t stand the guy. Especially when he just sat there and video taped the hot chick in the dress running away from the mummy character after he had turned into a zombie. Damn dude just put the camera down and help her! I don’t care how badly you want to make a documentary. Stupid film students…

I got into to work this morning and logged into my wonderful *gag* Dell box running the magnificent Windows XP Pro and noticed a notification from Java. “Update now and get Openoffice…FREE”. Thats so nice of them to include that for me alongside an update of an already bogged down little piece of software. Not only will I have to wait about a 30 minutes for Java to figure out how to update itself to the newest version but I’ll also have to wait for it to download 100+ MB of software. Now that isn’t the only thing thats wrong with this picture. Why is Java/Sun offering me software that is opensource and already FREE? Most people who know what Openoffice is should already know that it’s free. It’s always been free and will continue to be so as far as I know.

I totally forgot that I haven’t told you about my first animal friend, Alvin. He is the best dog that I have ever had the honor of being around.

Well I’ve finally done it. I’ve spent more on an animal than my first car was worth. But with a face like this could you have said no?
